I visited the construction site for the Great Valley Grasslands Floodplain Restoration Project with American Rivers. The goal of the 120-acre project between State Parks and American Rivers is to restore the natural floodplain of the San Joaquin River.
Water is a critical resource in the Central Valley, and the San Joaquin River is vital for our region. I can read about the pros and cons of each potential project, but as a farmer, nothing beats seeing with my own eyes. I am committed to exploring every potential project to secure more water for our farms, reduce grocery prices, and improve our economy and environment.
