Rep. Duarte Votes to Keep the Government Open

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman John Duarte (CA-13) issued the following statement on voting to keep the government open.

"Since entering Congress, I’ve voted for every Continuing Resolution to keep the government open and working for the families in my District. It’s important that we continue addressing our government's spending problem while also making sure we minimize the disruptions to the federal programs that so many of my constituents rely on," said Rep. Duarte.

"We have to make better spending decisions to ensure we don’t bankrupt our country’s future. This was the best option available to us in this moment, but I remain hopeful that the budget for the 2024 Fiscal Year will include common-sense decisions on government spending to cut inflation and revive our economy."
