WASHINGTON - Yesterday, Congressman John Duarte reaffirmed his support for Israel’s right to defend itself from Hamas terrorists by voting for critical military aid.
“I voted for H.R. 6126 to provide Israel with the military aid necessary to stop Hamas’ brutality from progressing any further. We cannot standby and allow terrorists to attack one of our closest allies. The terror campaign being waged against Israel is inhumane and disgusting. We must do all we can to help protect Israel," said Rep. Duarte.
The bill provides appropriations to the Department of Defense for purposes such as
replacing defense articles that were provided to Israel,
reimbursing the Department of Defense for defense services and training provided to Israel,
procuring Israel's Iron Dome and David's Sling defense systems, and
developing Israel's Iron Beam defense system.
The bill provides appropriations to the State Department for
Diplomatic Programs, including Worldwide Security Protection;
Emergencies in the Diplomatic and Consular Service; and
