WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman John Duarte (CA-13) issued the following statement on voting to keep the government funded through the new year.

"I voted on the Continuing Resolution to keep our government open and working on behalf of the American people. A government shutdown would’ve disrupted many federal programs that everyday Americans rely on, including vital services to our veterans. Now, we have time to continue our appropriations process through regular order for a fiscally responsible budget that will put our nation back on the right track, free from excessive government spending" said Rep.
