Rep. John Duarte Issues Statement Supporting Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman John Duarte (CA-13) issued the following statement on the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023:

“Year after year the federal government has borrowed outside of its means and incurred trillions of dollars’ worth of debt. Excessive federal spending continues to drive up inflation, weaken the dollar, and jeopardize the financial wellbeing of our country. Valley families are sick and tired of seeing their hard-earned dollars lose value and go to waste.

Ensuring the financial stability of our government is essential in protecting veteran support programs, Social Security, and Medicare. We must get our fiscal house in order to preserve these programs for future generations.

We cannot keep increasing our debt without having an honest conversation about our government’s spending habits. My colleagues have provided a commonsense roadmap to ensure America’s fiscal wellbeing while addressing our growing debt crisis. I urge President Biden to embrace the spirit of our Republic, come to the table, and engage in good-faith negotiations with Speaker McCarthy.

The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023 limits federal spending, saves taxpayer dollars, grows our economy, and secures the financial stability of Social Security, Medicare, and veteran support services. From reclaiming unspent COVID funds to defunding the army of IRS Agents, this legislation provides practical solutions to our continued spending crisis,” said Rep. Duarte.
